  1. Carrie Underwood would make a perfect Sookie. Alexander is perfect in anything he plays . I can not belive he wanted to be Bill??????UGH

    • Ever since I started watching Big Bang Theory (which was actually very recently – hard to believe, I know), I think that Kaley Cuoco would make a wonderful Sookie. She has light eyes (I think they’re green, but better than brown!), and she’s the required height, plus she’s got the curves that I imagined Sookie would have. However, even if she had been approached to play the part, one has to wonder if she would have been okay with the nude and racy scenes. Not every actor wants to get naked on TV!

As for ASkars, when he sent his tape in to Alan Ball (at the time he was filming Generation Kill in Namibia), there was only one part written, and that was the part for Bill Compton. So every male that wanted to be part of the cast would have auditioned for the Bill character. I have never had any problem with True Blood’s casting, other than Anna Paquin as Sookie. She’s cute, but she’s not Sookie to me. Kristin Bauer Van Straten, even though she doesn’t look like what I envisioned for Pam, she IS Pam. She owns that role completely, which means she’s extremely gifted, because in real life she’s the exact opposite of the character she portrays.

  2. These are really good. However, I still think that neither Scarlett nor Anna seem like the perfect woman to portray Sookie. Don’t tell me it can’t be done because Alexander does Eric just fine. *sighs lovingly*

    • Lately I’ve been thinking that Kaley Cuoco (a.k.a. Penny on The Big Bang Theory) is perfect physically to play Sookie. She’s tall enough and curvy enough, and she’s funny, which Book Sookie also is. Plus… she has blue eyes and she’s so very pretty. Too late to switch Anna Paquin out of True Blood, though.

What do you think?
